1.) How do I book?
Bookings can be made securely via our website by clicking on the blue "Book Now" button from the page of the tour or hire you wish to book, this will redirect you to our secure booking server. You can also email bookings@spyderryder.com.au with your request. Alternatively you can phone us on 0421069196 with your details and credit card payment.

2.) Can I book my tour online?

3.) What happens if it rains?
Spyder Ryder has 100% waterproof gear available. The great thing about the Gold Coast is it has a yearly average of 300 sunny days. The weather on the Gold Coast can also change very quickly and from the South to the North, so there is almost always somewhere you can go to get away from the rain, if it occurs. If we deem that it is unsafe to ride then your booking will be rescheduled.

4.) Can I ride the Spyder with a car licence?
No. At this stage an R class unrestricted and current motorcycle licence is required. Can-Am (the manufacturer) is working with state government's to try and change this.

5.) How many Spyder's do you have?
We currently have two identical CanAm Spyder RS SE5 models, fitted with Hindle performance exhuasts and backrests.

Our Spyders are red, they really stand out and of course red is faster.

7.) Are your guides/pilots/riders qualified?
Each pilot has a minimum of 5 years motorcycle riding experience, holds a Driver Authorisation issued by Queensland Transport and has completed an advanced rider training course and first aid certificate.

8.) What do I need to ride a Spyder?
An R class full motorcycle licence is required to ride the Spyder. The minimum age for rider's is 25 years old and for pillion passengers is 10 years old. Enclosed sturdy footware, and long pants are required. Helmets, jackets and gloves can be provided if you don't have your own.

9.) What is the age limit for riding a Spyder?
A minumum age of 10 years is required by QLD law, you must also be able to reach the pillion passenger pegs. We have no maximum age having taken several 90+ year olds.

10.) Is there a bond?
Yes, only on You-Ryde (tag-along) tours and hire. A bond of $2000 is required from the hirer, being either cash or credit card. The bond is refunded as soon as the tour/hire has completed and the bike is back safe and sound.

Sorry but we don't offer refunds on cancellations. You can however reschedule your booking if you provide a minimum of 7 days notice.

Yes, a minimum of 7 days notice is required and is valid for 6 months from the original date of booking.

Currently Australia's Gold Coast is our sole location but there are plans to expand. As far as we are aware no other company worldwide is offering tours on the Spyder.

Our sole location is Coolangatta's Gold Coast. As far as we are aware we are the only company in Australia hiring the CanAm Spyder.

17.) Can you deliver a Spyder to me?
We offer a delivery service on our Spyder hire for a small fee of $33. Delivery is available from Surfers Paradise to Kingscliff. A week's notice is required and a minimum of a full day's hire. Alternatively you can pickup from our Coolangatta location.

Bombardier Recreational Products, BRP owns several brands including Can-Am, Sea-Doo and Ski-Doo. Can-Am is the brand they use to manufacture motorbikes, ATV's and now the Spyder Roadster.

21.) How does it handle?
It handles like a high performance sports car crossed with an ATV. Unlike a normal motorcycle it doesn't lean into corners and you have to steer, not counter-steer. The Vehicle Stability System (advanced car-like electronics) ensures that it remains very stable in the majority of situations.

3.) What happens if it rains?
